This is just what I need. The countdown starts now.

PostHeaderIcon Dad and me.

Daddy has upgraded and improved himself. He doesn’t nag when we get up late from bed especially during church days. When he sees us rolling here and there on Sunday mornings, he lures us for the great yummy breakfast he prepared. This is by far the coolest trick he ever laid upon us. We get up as soon as he finishes his “breakfast is ready” sentence. It’s like magic. He now brings up topics we rarely talk about–boys and goals in life. His knowledge on new music hits have improved too. Now he knows more than what I know. He knows that Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta is Lady Gaga’s real name. He knows about the recent news at Yahoo! and plans to get himself a Twitter account. He’s even planning to try out link building and professional blogging. Well, that’s how cool my Dad is.

There was this one time when I was supposed to go home (not at Lola’s but my real home) but I ended up having all-night conversations at McDonald’s with some friends. So it was very early in the morning when I finally decided to go to my ‘rents house so I can sleep a little before preparing for church. Dad opened the door and looked surprised to see me behind it. He then gave me a warm long hug and kissed my cheek. He asked me what I wanted for breakfast, so on and so forth. I felt that it was the best morning I ever had.

Yesterday, he did not go to that family friend’s house just because he wants to watch that Korean film with us. After the film, he told everyone to call it a day.  When I asked him if he can drive me home, he approved of it. wee. Thanks Dad.

PostHeaderIcon i feel good.

It feels good to be commended, especially when you get to hear it from people you don’t expect to be complimenting you. Tonight, I just feel good because somebody just gave me a really sincere compliment after the little chat that we had.

“Wow. You’re good at this stuff.  Now I know where to look for an advice when I have problems. Thanks. :)”

it feels great to know that I was able to help somebody tonight. . or at least listened to his stories and shared my thoughts about his questions to me. And I thank God for the circumstances that I have come across this life because I was able to use those circumstances as an example to make my statements clear to this very person who needed my “help”. . :)

Last night’s pool party was a blast! I hope Jen’s going to uploadthe pictures soon.

Today is Valentines Day.. and I’m bound to do all the updates I need to do with the main site (twistedrumbeats.com).. sounds so fun to spend the V-day, huh? ^^ So this is going to be Peechy and Kai’s day on V-day. :)

Felicia Barton’s back on track! She just replaced Joanna Pacitti’s spot on American Idol. I super love that raspy voice. Felicia, FTW!:)

I noticed that I put too much “:)” in all my blog posts. This only shows that I do smile (and laugh) a lot. :)

…..and all my jokes and punchlines were sold out yesterday! whew.

I forgot to retrieve my flashdrive yesterday after having all those songs printed for Joy Chicote’s wedding. er.. I was asked to play the piano in the ceremony and in the reception as well. It’s going to be a garden wedding and I think it’s going to be very fun!:) So…. yeah.. I forgot about my flashdrive… only this morning have I realized that my flashdrive was missing. :( so I hurriedly went to this internet shop near UM Matina to get it. When I got there, the store was closed and it’s only going to open this afternoon. . I was beginning to get angry about it when one of the people outside the shop told me that the owners of the cafe’s only living in the second storey of the building.  So I went upstairs and pushed the doorbell on door #1.

After a few seconds, a boy having red spot all over his face showed up. I knew there and then that it was Varicella or the chickenpox. I was beginning to panic for I haven’t had varicella ever since I was a kid. So I told the boy to tell her mother about my flashdrive, and thankfully she remembered me and my flashdrive.. but she told me to come back on the afternoon to retrieve t for they won’t be opening until then. Because I really panicked, I told them I’m gonna be back on Monday to retrieve it… I hate chickenpox!!!

While I was on my way home, I thought about the things below:

1. Did the boy cough or sneeze in front of me?

2. I should have asked the boy the number of days he’s been suffering from that dreadful virus.

3. The spots are still red, they must be contagious still.

4. I should have covered my nose and my mouth while talking to him.

5. I’ll wait within 12 days.. if I caught the virus, it’s going to show up within that time period.

6. I’m not going to get infected!! Never!

7. Please, Lord. Not me. Please?

Wow. So.. are you sure today’s not Friday the 13th??

I hope I’m not going to get infected with the virus. My students back at greenbox are going to have an exam two weeks from now, and I can’t afford to be absent.

Yeah. Please. Not me.

Suicide.

I think it’s the best word to describe what I just did with my twistedrumbeats.com website. I upgraded the subdomains and the main site with the all new Wordpress 2.7 without downloading the backup data from the wp_content of each subdomain and the main site as well. I have made a copy of everything prior to this upgrade day but it all went bye-bye after Peechy’s reformatting. The good part of this suicide is that all the subdomains in twistedrumbeats.com remained alive. At least I still have a few of my entries scattered around some of those subdomains. I will try to recover the lost data as much as I can, but if this thing that I’m planning to do later won’t work out, then probably it’s definitely a good bye to my almost-a-year old site.

Here’s what is written on its tombstone.

Twistedrumbeats.com: A compilation of life’s twisted  tales and adventures.

Born: March 17, 2008 Died: February 9, 2009.

Fare thee well.

Next time, I will not do any upgrades at all not unless I’ve read the reviews about the new wordpress version. I still love wordpress though. I’m okay. . I will be okay. ^^
